For more than 30 years, the Foster Corporation has been a leader in developing and manufacturing specialized biomedical polymers used in minimally invasive and implantable medical devices, and drug delivery systems that save lives.
Featured Project
RP Masiello was selected to design and build a new multi-purpose facility to accommodate Foster Corp.’s strong growth. The project was a 56,000 sq. ft. building with manufacturing, warehouse and office spaces. The nature of their processes required specialized systems for air quality (dust limitation) humidity and temperature control.
The project had an aggressive, two-phase schedule. The warehouse component needed to be ready to occupy first, because of operational deadlines the company faced. The second phase covered the office space and manufacturing area, which included infrastructure for three injection molding lines and other processes. Work project began under some adverse winter conditions. Site work necessitated blasting out ledge and processing the material onsite into usable fill. Work on the structure began thereafter and both phases were completed on time, under budget, with significant savings turned back to the client.
