Building expansion and renovation of the entire school facility
To accommodate growth and provide the best possible environment for its students, the Groton Community School embarked upon a major expansion and renovation. RP Masiello was selected as the General Contractor for this aggressive project. Work included construction of 2 new wings to the building, completely refurbishing the entire facility allowing for larger classrooms, a new library, enhanced circulation areas, improved staff spaces, and a community room. Many of the structural trusses were rebuilt by the RP Masiello in-house crew and new roof lines established to add ceiling height and create a more open environment within. The grounds, recreation spaces and parking areas were reconstructed.
