From the spark of innovation, through R&D and on to production, much of the growth economy in our region emanates from cleanrooms and laboratories. Our portfolio of advanced research and manufacturing projects is extensive, which is why RP Masiello has built cleanrooms and environmentally controlled spaces for more than 40 years.
Our first cleanroom project was in 1978 for Micro Networks as part of a major renovation of their Worcester facility. In those days, it was called a Class 100,000 cleanroom, used for manufacturing silicon chips. Soon thereafter we built brand new facilities with cleanrooms on an aggressive timeline for two semi-conductor manufacturers.
In the decades that followed, we have designed and built entire buildings to cleanroom standards, renovated existing buildings and incorporated cleanrooms, and built pre-fabricated cleanroom structures within general commercial spaces. We’ve built cGMP certified spaces for drug manufacturing.
Today, we work with medical device, microelectronics, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, medical device, and other advanced manufacturers, fulfilling their needs for the latest cleanroom, laboratory and environmental control technologies. Clients value our experience, as we self-perform many of the critical functions required for these projects with our own carpenters, engineers and tradesmen on the job.
